Why So Blue?

April 18, 2013

The world collapses in grey. Snowflakes streak horizontally across the lane blurring the road. When out of the confusion flies the bluest, blue of bluebirds. Why are you so unfathomably blue? Is it your icy heart that colors your feathers? Or did the spring sky once crack and fall to earth to be embodied by your ancestors. Or perhaps you carry for us the sadness accumulated through the ages from greed, persecution and imperfection.
